Hello! My name is Jessica Jackson. If you've taken a Yoga class at Cloud 9 Yoga, chances are we've already met. If you haven't taken a class at Cloud 9 Yoga yet, what the heck are you waiting for?! I'm Owner/Lead Yoga Instructor of Cloud 9 Yoga in Cloudcroft, New Mexico.
My Yoga journey began nearly 9 years ago while experiencing another "do over" in my life. I was forced to move back in with my mother, and at 22 years old was waiting for my divorce paperwork to be filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court. It was one of those toxic on-again, off-again relationships; the kind where you are both just bad news bears for one another. It got bloody. It got violent, and I had to get out quick.
Yoga saved me. It's what finally made me break that awful cycle of abuse and move on for good.
Fast-forward to the year 2017: I've met the mountain man of my dreams and have been married for four years now. He is the reason we are living in this tiny mountain town of 800 people in Southern New Mexico, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Cloud 9 Yoga sort of happened out of the blue when my friend Kelley Shaw, Owner/Curator/High Priestess of Mountain VS. Moon was going to be moving her shop into Mad Jack's - the famous barbecue joint next door to the Yoga studio. I didn't really jump at the opportunity, because to be honest owning a Yoga studio was the last thing on my mind. Why? You know. The usual...because of fear, self-doubt...all of those things that get in our way of big; I mean BIG life-changing transformation and opportunities.
Yet here we are, nine months later and the Yoga studio is about to expand and add the office suite right next door. Together, we've truly created something special here: a supportive, caring community of like-minded individuals. We're all at different stages of our lives, but the goal is the same - union.
We are all just trying to be the best versions of ourselves every damn day.
Check us out! Classes will resume as normal during our expansion, so please stop by and see what all the buzz is about.
