THE PERFECT Superfood Breakfast Smoothie

It's the day after Thanksgiving, and while I enjoyed overeating all sorts of plant-based goodies I can't help, but feel weighed down, and sluggish. So, this is why instead of reaching for some leftovers, which I'm sure I'll do later anyway, I put together our usual Superfood Breakfast Smoothie packed with fiber, protein, vitamin C and antioxidants (coffee was most definitely the first to be had.)

 

We use a Ninja 40 oz blender, and for my husband and I; it makes two perfect 16 oz cups every single time. 

 

You'll need the following ingredients:

 

1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries and red raspberries.

2 whole bananas, peeled and quartered.

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp flax meal (or ground up flax seeds).

1 tsp of ginger powder

2 tbsp of sun flower seed butter

1/2 cup of Gluten Free rolled oats

1 1/2 cups of water

 

Instructions:

 

Please all ingredients above in blender and blend together. It's that simple.
